Full Time IT Faculty - Roaring Fork, CMC

JOEL COTTON received a B.S. in forestry from Oregon State University and an M.S. in computer science from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Cisco Academy Instructor (CCAI). Joel is a Professor of Information Technology at Colorado Mountain College. He is also a Division Director responsible for managing Information Technology/Computer classes at the Roaring Fork Campus. Joel was a computer teacher for 10 years and a network administrator at a large high school for 5 years prior to coming to CMC. He has run a web design and computer consulting business. In addition, he has designed and sold educational software. Joel currently holds A+ and CCNA certifications.

Adjunct Faculty - Computers/IT

ROY BRANDT studied organizational behavior and communications at Concordia College. He has over 15 years of experience in software support and web design and is currently the president of Productivity Software. 

DAWN CHASE attended Michigan State University, the University of Montana , and Regis University . She has worked in the computer graphics design field since 1991.

DONNI COCHRAN received her B.A. and M.S. from Northern Arizona University where she taught mathematics, and completed additional graduate work at the University of Arizona and University of Tennessee in mathematics, business and computer science. She has completed courses through Boeing, IBM and Microsoft and has been in the computer consulting field since 1984.  

LARRY EGGERS received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle . He has worked in the design, manufacture, and customer support of computer main frames and microcomputers for more than 25 years.

GARY FAGAN has been involved with computers, operating systems, and application software since the early 1980s. He was employed by U.S. West (Qwest) for 16 years, and owned a computer retail/ consulting/service company for 12 years, specializing in small business networking and office automation. He is currently employed by CMC as a Microcomputer Specialist.

SUZANNE FITZGERALD  received her M.S. from the University of Wisconsin in Environmental Monitoring, and has a B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation and Management from the University of Kentucky.  She has been a GIS analyst and has provided GIS support on multiple land use projects.

MICHAEL MESKEL has a background in the oil, gas, and construction industries. He has used AutoCAD since1988.

JOHN PALMER earned an M.S.E. in applied mathematics and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He served on the USMA faculty at West Point for 12 years, followed by another 15 years at the Mercer University School of Engineering in Georgia. Fluent in several computer languages, including C and C++, much of his work over the years has focused on computer applications in engineering and engineering management.  

JENNIFER SANBORN earned a B.F.A. in photography at the University of Arizona, and has been a professional photographer for over 20 years. She has experience in both black and white and digital photography, and currently owns and operates Sanborn Studio in Rifle.  

STAN SNYDER is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his B.S. in business administration from the University of Denver. He is a certified Quick-Books Pro Advisor and a certified MOUS(Microsoft Office User Specialist) Master. Stan serves as a consultant to small business owners.

KATRINA STRECKER has a B.A. in Management Information Systems and Spanish from Washington State University. She owns StreckTech, LLC, a computer instruction, web site design and technical consulting company.  

PEGGY SWANK has a degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology. She worked for 22 years providing computer support for General Motor's Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing staffs

BOBBIE VAN METER received her A.A.S. from CMC in commercial art and graphics in 1985. She runs a home-based graphics business in Silt.  

MIRANDA WATSON has an A.A. from CMC and a B.S. in computer science engineering from the University of Colorado. She has five years of programming experience in Visual Basic and other computer applications. She is currently completing her group certification for aerobics.

RICHARD C. WEINBERG is a pilot and flight instructor with over 3,200 hours of flight time. His FAA certifications include Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, Single Engine Aircraft and Instrumet and Basic Ground Instructor. He has over 30 years experience in the air traffic control field, and is currently the airport manager at Glenwood Springs Municipal Airport.

NATASHA WILLIAMS has a Ph.D. in biology from the Russian Academy of Sciences. She worked for the Central Siberian Botanical Garden as a scientific researcher for 15 years.
